Newport walk

Had a lazy morning of toast, coffee and dabbling with mando and flute music as the sun finally fought its way through the snow clouds that have been hovering over us for the past week. Then off to Newport for a walk and charity shop bargain hunting. The Walk didn't go quite as planned because we missed a bit off the loop, but we had fun using fences to scale flooded ditches (caused by the melt water from the snow). I Found some great stuff in the charity shops too - a scarf with a bird print, a music book for flute with a backing track CD and a book of the TV series Frozen Planet amongst other things! We also got some ingredients for carrot muffins which I will bake tomorrow.
