Camping (well kind of!)
More stone shovelling today (mostly John actually while I entertained the girls). He is much faster at doing it than me, partly because I stop to save all the worms.
The girls played camping while we did the garden. They dont care that they are playing on bare earth. Our plan is to fork it all over next week and get some grass seed down. I hope we haven't left it too late.
In between John also did some filler and a first coat of paint on the play room - just white because that is all we have in the garage, we can always do a more interesting colour after lockdown. It looks really good.
I was contacted randomly today but someone over facebook who saw I was one of the admin on the local covid support group. He passed me details of the wife of an elderly gentleman who sadly died early this morning of covid. She is isolating and vunerable. I popped a short note through her door with my details and she called me a short while after. (I think this trip out was allowed as I coincided it with picking up essential supplies and it was my only trip out today). She was shocked but calm and strong. It really brought it home that this is real. It's one thing helping people who are isolating because of precaution but this brought it home how dangerous this is. I keep thinking of her. I will call her again in a few days time.
Had a zoom call with my sisters and Steph this evening and while we were chatting heard the news that Boris has gone to hospital. I do hope he recovers quickly and fully.
