SOB Volleyball-Day 5

The end of a long week shooting volleyball images (over 1,000 that I have kept, probably five times that which I deleted). I told my wife that I have read blogs about sports shooters covering the Olympics and they talk of how difficult it is to get the shots and process the images, on very little sleep. I thought at the time, yeah right. Well, this week I got a small taste of that life, spending many hours in the hot sun (at least some of the days) and staying up late processing and organizing images and I realize that it would be exceeding difficult to capture the images they do in a strange country, on deadline, and at multiple venues. I have tremendous respect for their craft. Today's image is of the women's final. This is Annabella, a non-pro who is "out heighted" by the other three players by half a foot. She did, however, have the match of her life (her own words afterward) digging and hitting balls all over the court.
