on this palm sunday - the beginning of holy week - for christ followers and the very - day on which jesus - rode boldly into jerusalem - upon a donkey - entering it as the king of peace - something i didn’t know is that - traditionally entering the city - on a donkey symbolized an arrival in peace - rather than as a war-waging king - arriving on a horse - a very strategic and thoughtful - move by jesus - and it fulfilled the - prophecy and god’s promise - written in the old testament:

‘everyone in jerusalem, celebrate and shout! your king has won a victory, and he is coming to you. he is humble and rides on a donkey; he comes on the colt of a donkey.’ zechariah 9:9 (cev)

it would be the - first day leading to a week - of cataclysmic ups and downs - ending with a beautiful - easter resurrection but for - this initial beginning - it can certainly be called...
