Sunshine and smiles...

Well the sun not only shone as promised, there was heat in it too.   

David shook the cobwebs from his shorts pile and in the blink of an eye, peely-wally legs were on display :-))

And at 4pm, the Gin Palace was officially declared open for Summer Season 2020 :-))  More pics in extras.

Alan opted to join us for a little while, which was a surprise as he's not known for socialising much with his mum and dad!  :-))  

We had a lovely time chatting about past holidays to France and holidays to come.  We all agreed that until then, we are so very lucky to have a garden we can go to to feel the sun on our face, and the Gin Palace to retreat to when the rain beats down heat gets too much :-))  We also enjoyed listening to Alan's favourite Busted song.

In other news, Dr Catherine Calderwood, Scotland's Chief Medical Officer, was found to have visited her holiday home in Fife, in direct contravention of the lockdown advice she has  been delivering to the nation, at the side of the First Minister.  Honestly, the stupidity of clever people never ceases to amaze me!  

She was also spoken to by the police, which is fair enough.  But begs the question, if she was spoken to by the police, why wasn't Prince Charles and Camilla when they also visited their holiday house in the highlands (an area with even less resources than Fife) twice, AFTER the First Minister had specifically told second home owners to stay away and not self isolate in the highlands, and even worse than that, when he already knew he had the virus?
