Commemorative Statue

Today we drove down to the BJ's in St. Mary's to pick up some much needed groceries. I waited in the car while my husband went inside. Just about everyone was wearing a mask.
While we were in the area we stopped by St. Mary's City, where my husband noticed this statue. It was commissioned by Maryland's counties to celebrate our 300th anniversary. On the back of the statue are the dates - 1634 - 1934. Now we are only 14 years away from our 400th anniversary.
