Barley

V. early walk this morning as i couldn't sleep.  I love it when no one is up yet, for some reason i feel more alive then ever.  Barley loves it too.

Beautiful morning and actually and incredibly beautiful day too.

Few jobs - a third of the way through washing down the drive, made something for the bees - i have no screws left so had to improvise - pretty shabby but will do for now.  Sanded down a side board.

Lovely run too, loads of people out walking - it is so nice to see. It feels people are more up for an adventure than they have ever been before - for the most part it seemed that social distancing was being adhered to.   Contrary to what we hear is going on in London.

First garden picnic of the year and the kids loved it.  Barley was very well behaved and didn't try and steal anything.  Also lots of garden games with the kids.

Golly - its been a massively energetic day!
