It’s all quite simple, really.

First they told us not to wear face masks. But that, of course was because there were none to be found.

Now we’re being told we should wear face masks. They won’t protect us but they will protect others around them. Huh? How does that work?

We’re also being told that we should NOT wear the kind of masks that WILL protect us because those are for the health care workers. But they can’t get any either.
Presumably Trump has a proper mask, but he says he won’t wear one.

We DO have four N95 respirator masks left over from fire season. Since we’re not supposed to wear them I offered them to a friend who is a nurse. She said they weren’t allowed to use PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) that wasn’t issued by the hospital. Only the hospital doesn’t have any to issue them, so apparently they’re supposed to do without.

Since we can’t wear the masks we already have that will protect us and the people who really need them can’t accept them from us, we’re being told to make our own masks and wear them whenever we go outside. Only we were told not to go outside.

It’s all perfectly simple, really. Oh and don’t panic. That won’t help anybody.
