Emily

As usual, we took our daughter to her Chinese Dance and language lessons today. She's such a star getting up so early on a Saturday morning when I'm sure most kids of her age would rather lie in and take it easy for the rest of the day. For me, it also gives me a few hours to do some serious reading. Time which I desparately need to finish the two 600+ page books I had borrowed from the library.

This portrait is of one of the other dancers in our daughter's class, taken at the end. I did ask for a pose of her looking at me, but I somehow prefer this more wistful look. I also couldn't work out how to recrop it, so have left it more as-is than usual.
