Splash Planet!

Splash Planet was order of the day. The tent was packed down, and car packed up in record time so that we arrived not long after opening. Started off with the train ride, followed by a session in the bumper boats, but after that...SLIDE TIME!

Last time the Youngest and I did a trip down our first slide (in 2010), we had an awful tumble which ended in her smashing her head, and me bruising my knee. So we went down the same slide again, with the same result. The Husband took her straight back down, while I went and de-rattled myself in the Lazy River. Then we spent the day sliding and swimming and playing. It was fantastic. I'm going to be sore tomorrow though! I also had a nasty mishap coming off the end of the long straight slide, where I hit the water at the bottom, bounced then hit the side of the edge of the slide with my hip. The Eldest and I had been racing down it, and she ended up being bashed in the back. The bruise count tomorrow should be impressive.

A very leisurely drive home leaving Hawkes Bay at 6pm meant we arrived home not long before midnight. Thanks Hawkes Bay...another fantastic family holiday for us!
