More snow last night meant it was a bit of a heavy trek up the hill to work this morning. Unfortunately it's now thawing like a good 'un and we'll probably spend the rest of the weekend up to our ankles in water...! At least Katie got a last sledge in this evening...

A last bit of full, crazy soul from the Isley Brothers' golden seventies highpoint '3+3' album. The title refers to the addition of 3 new, younger brothers to the existing Motown-era trio (one of them actually an in-law rather than a full-on Isley, but hey...!) and the effect is a similarly swelling, full-fat crossover sound. Funk, rock, Ernie Isley's mad Hendrix guitar, lush quiet storm jams - everything thick and sweet like toffee popcorn. A proper classic!
