Persuasion

Trying to convince the Douglas fir it does actually want to bend round the stem.
Got five laminations to make the false stem, three sapele and two fir. Strangely the hardwood bent quite comfortably but one of the pieces of fir felt as though it was on the point of snapping with still some way to go.
A night spent bent like this will get the pre-bend established. Tomorrow could be very sticky with epoxy and filler.
