Walks are the positive side of the lockdown

Hi Blippers!

This is my first entry so I guess I’d better introduce myself! My names Jim; I’m a born and bred Yorkshireman, very proud and vocal about it too! I love music, my family, making beer (yes that’s right MAKING beer) and my work. I guess the rest you will see over time!

Today we had Maisie the dog come and visit us. She’s been with us for a couple of days now; to explain, Maisie is Amys dog that is shared between us and her parents. Evelyn (our daughter) loves her and loves watching her play with her toys.
I love getting out for walks all the four of us, it’s so nice to enjoy the fresh air and the views.

The supplier I use for the ingredients I use to make beer have set up a system whilst they’re short staffed to manage the demand. It seems everyone wants to make lots of beer in lockdown! This new system means they open up ordering sometime mid afternoon when they’ve sent out the days orders, and then close the ordering system when they’ve had enough orders to keep them busy the next day. It’s totally understandable from their perspective, the owner has said he doesn’t want to end up being forced to close with weeks of orders backed up. But very frustrating because it’s first come first served so there is a race to get the order in. They opened ordering whilst I was out on the walk but luckily managed to get my order in for my next brew just in time
