Point and Shoot

Quarantine Day 1

I'm glad that before the trip to India, I had shopped for enough store cupboard essentials to ensure that I did not need to rush out to the supermarket, including soya milk, part-baked bread and Mars bars.

When I started the trip there were no virus cases in Rajasthan but by the end there were two deaths in Delhi.  Temperatures were checked at the final trip hotel in Delhi and at the airport. I had watched the news as the Covid-19 crisis developed and decided to play safe and self-isolate on my return to home, not because of any risk from India, but because of the flight.  I've had colds and flu after flights before and wasn't optimistic about avoiding infection.

As it turned out, I hadn't picked up an infection. I'd had a wonderful holiday just in time before the world changed.
