Coronavirus Lockdown Diaries, Day 9

Persuaded M to empty the cupboard under the stairs. We use it as a pantry. Hidden at the back, amongst the dust and stray onion skins was a half-used packet of freeze pops. Best before May 2017. Even though I ignore use-by/sell-by/best-before dates, I will admit that it might be best to chuck these. Nobody liked them much anyway.

Forgot to add: watched ‘The Imitation Game’ - about Alan Turing and Bletchley Park and the efforts to crack the Enigma code. Not sure it was historically accurate, but it was entertaining. Incredible and distressing to think that he was subsequently persecuted and prosecuted for his sexuality. At least some things have improved in the interim.

Govt *still* talking about testing ‘ramping up’. Useless clowns.
