Andrew the Beekeeper

Today Andrew invited me down to his back garden to photograph as he inspected his bees.  I have some way to go as photojournalist.  I didn't do enough close ups.  Of course it was no problem keeping the physical distance.  Actually the bees were pretty quiet and kept near to the hive.  He thought the hive was in good health and showed me the Queen Bee moving around checking some cells.  I saw the closed cells with pupa in them.  I have added the extras because it was such a beautiful day and you can see the Waimea Estuary in the background.
