Day Eight; Grafton Bridge lamps were already off

The city has a somewhat eerie feel. At the height of the summer holiday period, there are more people out and about and more cars. Buses almost outnumber private cars on my ride to work. One was already on the bridge when I was stopped by the traffic lights.

Meetings and paper work dominated my day, after management colleagues reduced my clinical input to advising and supporting other clinicians, rather than having a clinical load (all the new admissions) myself. It is a relief to no longer feel guilty about having no time to do the stuff I had the time for today.

And working from home tomorrow will further reduce stress. Something to welcome.
