Her Window
Her window looked on the street below
Where people lived and life could flow
to and fro
as it does
No matter what the day
or year
or mood
or veneer
of joy or peace
or wealth
and such things
that charge the nation’s pulse.
Now as she stood
she sensed a shift
A weight, a worry
A furrowed brow ...
But no, something more
.. a lightness at the glance
of a second chance.
When this passes and all will be well
again
And Life will flow ... on her street below

I worked from home and spent many hours at computer screen today
But needed to do something creative, so
I painted this little homage to Vilhelm Hammershoi

See culturium link here (just ignore Seneca’s ramblings, but you get a look at Vilhelm’s paintings. Aren’t they wonderful and so expressive of social distancing and isolation

A danish painter, much loved by me and Michael Palin
