Hearts For Heroes
The Blip Community put out challenge this week to honor those brave men and women who are fighting for our lives right now. So this is my offering, and following are some of those I'd like to thank...
To the medical professionals from doctors to nurses to janitors to aides who are working around the clock to battle this virus on the front lines. To the tireless people who keep the pharmacy and grocery shelves stocked, who work overnight to clean and sanitize, who greet us with smiles even while they are probably as scared as we are. For the mail carriers and delivery people who keep things arriving at our doors. For the police and EMT's who work so very hard to keep us safe, sometimes from ourselves. To restaurants who are still managing to provide meals to us by operating curbside pick up. To all the people out there who take time to check in on neighbors and friends.
We talked to my parents this morning which was good for all four of us, I think. I would give anything to be giving them a hug right now, but glad that we can at least talk on the phone.
A walk in the park where every person we saw smiled, said hello, and kept at least 10 feet away. We're taking this seriously here in our part of the country.
The photo - my hand holding a necklace Hubs bought for me when we were still dating. Processed in Silver Efex, which made my hand look older and more interesting.
Stay safe, be well, be kind.
