Seemed apt
I have been delving into boxes of old letters, cards and items of interest, mainly to try to find a newspaper cutting and photo of my Dad. There had been a fire on the farm and dad and some others tried to get cattle out of a burning shed. Apparently one man had been overcome by fumes and a Dad dragged him out. It made front page news of the Scottish Sunday papers. I was sure I had kept it. No luck so far.
In a pile of stuff including the receipt for getting our car out of the place it had been impounded when we lived in Hong Kong, in 1970, I found this. Communist China had a big shop in Hong Kong with china tea sets, carvings in ivory, bits of jade, lacquer work etc. Each time you bough5 something you were given a little saying from Mao’s Little Red Book. I thought this was apt for today when the daily death toll from the virus in UK was over 500. The virus has reached our valley with several very ill and one death. The government still won’t give a straight answer to a question.
