The kindness of neighbours

Two days ago, the chap who lives opposite our house and who works at B&Q, brought us two trays of pansies which would otherwise have been thrown out. Len has planted out one tray, as you can see, but has yet to deal with the other. He needs to choose where he will plant them. It takes time....

Yesterday, our neighbours who own and operate the Kim café on Charnwood Road, brought us this tray of eggs, which would otherwise have gone to waste.

We are so grateful to them for thinking of us.

A grey day. A north wind is driving cloud across the country.

Basil and I took a different route today keeping mostly to the green paths between the roads and houses.

The postman brought us our portable bidets this morning, and they work! That should save some toilet paper. Look up EcoJet.
