Oscar's 'brother' and "I love you"

It made my morning today when Oscar came up to me with this giraffe and told me it was his brother. He must be feeling outnumbered in our household, especially when his daddy is at work! I am thankful he has found solace in the plastic giraffe he obtained from Harry's birthday party yesterday!

Oscar and Bailee played together especially nicely this morning. They had a tea party and played with their trains for a good amount of time. I did a match the animal with it's baby sticker activity with Bailee and she thoroughly enjoyed it! She especially fascinated by the flies and their maggots..... ewwwww!

We tried out an indoor play area today. You pay a family subscription (+an extra few $'s subsidy for the third child) for a year and have unlimited access. I am thinking as the twins aren't in nursery yet and looking ahead at the VERY hot summer time it could be a good investment. I am dreading not being able to go down to the park for hours on end because it is too hot. We love our daily fix of fresh air. At least we have the swimming pool season to look forward to!

I think Oscar gets frightened of the dark in the morning. This morning he was crying out for me and when I asked him what was wrong he said he was scared. I am not sure how to help him with this. He has a Gro Clock and thermometer that act as night lights. I ended up bringing him into bed with us before he woke up Bailee. Looking at the clock it was 630 already so at least it was his usual wake-up time.

Tonight was so sweet. Oscar and I have started this little thing where as I feed Maple to sleep on my bed we have a little chat about the day together. The first thing he told me tonight was "I love you mummy". Bailee and Oscar have spontaneously started saying this quite recently and you can tell they know what they are saying! They both said it again to Stu and I at bedtime, and it made me feel like the luckiest mummy in the world, (And forget about how they put our cushions in the bath tonight).....
