PYCNOPORUS COCCINCUS

Well put more simply its a bracket fungi.  I was doing some work outdoors today sun was shining and I was collecting some cut wood from a tree felled earlier in the season-its now dry and this bit of wood turned up. Its (sadly) well dead now but it took its place in the great scheme of things as a Blip on the World Wide Web - what a way for fame !!
