Mizpah

This brooch came via my Mum, and her Mum.  Unfortunately I don't know any specific history of it, but Mizpah is a Hebrew word that has come to mean an emotional bond between two people.
Whilst popular through the 1880s they became very popular in the early 1900s, when men were leaving their families to fight in World War 1.

Our daughter is 'front line' NHS in Macclesfield and we are incredibly proud of her - and all her colleagues, and the support people and everyone else trying to get us through this b****y mess - we will get there.
