High Tide

6C with blue sky and cold in the light breeze. Thin cloud appeared during the afternoon.

What a contrast. Overnight almost all the lying snow and ice had gone and once the sun was up the sky was blue and the day was bright. On such a good day I decided that Maeve the Deerhound and I would go for a walk out into the country, then we would go down the bridle path to the shore. It was a bit muddy in the field but worth it to look at the view of blue sky and the blue sea.

At the bottom of the field we pass by the 'mansion' that is currently owned by former Olympic athlete and marathon runner Liz McColgan. Six acres of ground with a gate house and recently closed Physiotherapy and gym business. I learned today that it is all on the market. The house for offers over something like £720,000.

The tide was almost fully in when we got to the beach. Just a strip of deep soft sand left. We plodded along to the Fishermen's huts. There were a few people at the huts working about the boats and the piles of fishing gear.

We enjoyed our walk in the bright light today :-)
