Lockdown Day 8 - In The Pink Tonight
Basking in the sunset glow is the 'Black Watch' at anchor off Aberlady.
Photographed from my bathroom window.
. . . and no, I didn't add the colour - it is just as it was.
The ship is approximately 12 miles away.
This is one of three cruise ships laid up in the Forth with skeleton crews on board. Earlier this evening one of them, the 'Balmoral' went for a jolly into international waters with its AIS showing the cryptic message 'Destination: Outside 12Nm / A6'. Presumably it will be returning to its anchorage (A6) off Aberlady after going beyond 12 Nautical Miles. Maybe the crew wanted some duty-free drinks?
The 'extras' show the 'Balmoral' leaving the Forth.
The first is as it passes the cement works - its water vapour looking as if it is coming from the ship's funnel.
The second shows it passing North Berwick Law.
Update 31/3/2020 8am: The 'Black watch has moved up river to Rosyth and the 'Balmoral' is back at its anchorage.
