Imprisonment - Day eight
Sunday 29th January 2020

7 cars 0 bikes 0 dog walkers 2 walkers 1 runner 0 horses and 4 molehills

The first week of confinement has been fine infact it has made little difference to me whatsoever as I don't go out much when we are at home. I do feel sorry for people like Hayden and Astra locked in doors trying to work from home with two lively young children and Ashley locked in doors with no outside space. That would be horrible but we've got lots of outside space no kids and we're used to taking it easy.

Yes we've missed a long weekend at Hayden's but we've Skyped instead. I've renewed my woodstore/greenhouse which I would have done anyway. I might have done it more quickly in normal circumstances but I think I'd only have saved a day. We might have gone out for a lunch or evening meal but that's it.

Today the usual bike ride was hard work in the gusty wind. Whichever direction I was going in I was always heading into wind.

I've still not caught a mole so I've moved all the traps to the area with the most activity. I also reset all the little nipper mouse traps in the loft. I bate them with sultanas as mice seem to like them till they get a smacked on the head.

The rest of the day was spent cutting up wood to fill the wood store. I cut three trailer loads but the store looked not the slightest bit full. It's going to take a lot of work to fill it.

Spoke to Hayden and Co on Skype  in the evening he'd been busy gardening and making a bird box. He was also talking about buying a boat to fit the Chevy V8 engine he's rebuilding.

And of course we celebrated Prosecco Sunday in the only way we know how with a bottle of Prosecco and some nibbles.
