Nature’s Revenge

Out for the walk and took my big lens. Mrs SoL blipped me yesterday as I took this pic (Frenchtoast).  The old building was less ruined and more visible when we came here 11 years ago. Over time, it has been covered increasingly by ivy, weeds, plus bits of it have fallen down. Nature taking back control. I took the pic from the site of an old farmhouse that we had walked past when we first got here. An elderly gentleman lived here with two golden labs. Suddenly, he was no longer there.  Then over the next 5 years, the house started to become derelict. About 3 years ago, the roof caught fire (we suspect arson), but the result was the complete removal of the building in 3 days. No foundations, and I am standing in Frenchtoast’s blip exactly where the house used to stand.
