Keeping Busy

Just another day. I’ve made a long list of things to do around the house. I’m hoping to knock a couple out a day then make a new list. I didn’t even get started today on anything until around 9 pm. I didn’t feel very well. Just a seasonal allergy headache and general ickiness.

I’m on a special electricity plan called Time of Use. Weekends are off-peak (cheaper) and I realized I needed to run the dishwasher, do laundry and shred before midnight when the carriage turns into a pumpkin.

I’m still at the shredding. It’s the last of Mom’s IRS paper trail. Seventeen years of tax returns, documents and receipts. Doing these kinds of things don’t bother me much anymore but it’s all a reminder that she’s gone. Two or three times a week I find something she did that makes me say, “Awww....mooom!” and smile.
