Through the gate
Saturday
It’s only been 2 1/2 months since we saw Laura last, but with all the uncertainty of recent weeks, and anxiety over what could be to come, it seems so much longer than that, so it feels good to have her home. I fixed us a special breakfast of pancakes , sausage and fresh fruit, and we had a pretty lazy morning, then Roger and I went out for a bike ride, starting from Corwin this time. This section is mainly through farming country, but several fields were partly flooded. The trail also passes a wetland area, where there were a number of people fishing, mainly keeping a six foot distance! The temperature was really warm, reaching a high of about 75 F, but it was overcast, and on the way back, we got quite a soaking, so it was straight for a hot shower when we got back! I was torn for my blip between this red barn seen through the gate, or the lovely Bloodroot flowers pushing their way up through last Fall’s leaves, so I have put that in as an extra.
