Nemesis

Another growing year on the allotment and here they are once more - taking my time and energy trying to eradicate them! We all have one, Crispen25 comes to mind with his squirrels! I wonder what yours might be?   I think I shall make this a tag! Be interesting to see, one blippers nemesis is probably  another blippers delight!!  I delight in the squirrel that comes to my front garden bird table!
I spent a couple of hours on the allotment after sorting out the hens. Finally got my new raspberry canes in - but I fear that might have been a fruitless task ( pun intended!) They were supposed to be planted after buying - I bought them last year!! I also covered the ground under the 4 fruit bushes with the cardboard from my Ikea sofa - it came in very handy covering the floor whilst the builders did various messy things! So it goes on to it's third and final role of suppressing the grass that will persist in growing under the bushes!
Once home I started to move some things into the kitchen. with no real storage space since the 3 boxed shelves that are to go above the counters were not done, I have to be judicious with what I bring down. The George Clooney coffee maker, sourdough baking cloche and flour, potato jar made it down! Some people are a two car residence - I am a two kitchen residence! In fact four! Most equipment and food is in the resources room, booze, tins and jars are on the shelving on the upstairs landing, and in the cats room in the vivarium is the glassware!!
Come late afternoon Oscar had his proper walk - I saw The Weaver and his wife in his newly acquired garden plot. He reckons Boris is saying he has the virus as a tactical move to show the public anyone can get it! I spotted The Elderly Lady in her garden reading under a blossom tree, tranquilly sitting and reading in the sun as if there was nothing wrong with the world - a lovely sight! 
All in all a lovely day and for me too there seemed nothing wrong in my world today ...apart from dandelions!
