Sue's Eye View

Scraps ....

Well, we arrived in Mallorca on 15th March and have now resigned ourselves not returning back to the UK for many, many months. We self isolated ourselves for 14 days and are, thankfully, currently both fit and well.

Hubby ventured alone to the supermarket this morning for essential supplies (it's a VERY strict 1 person per car policy)!

There are Guardia Civil checkpoints everywhere and we're only allowed out for essential food supplies, medical reasons, NOT even for excercise! He was an absolute star and got fresh fruit, veggies, meat, fish rice, pasta, bread, cheese, eggs etc. The supermarkets here seem to be able to currently cope with demand. Even loo rolls!

Our eldest son, his young family and Caspa the cat, have now moved into our home for more space and to use the freezer full of prepared meals!!! AND cupboards full of tinned and dried produce. I have a sixth sense and knew something was coming back in early January so started planning ahead. So, today, I've been blanching veggies and batch cooking for the freezer.

However yesterday, we regretfully, heard that our daughter in law (a midwife) is showing symptoms on Covid19. Our youngest son is a police sergeant so is now in self isolation, looking after his poorly wife and 3 very small little ones. Also our eldest son's father in law has, also today, shown classic symptoms..... none of them have been in contact with each other for many week.

I've managed to successfully order fresh supplies to be delivered to both infected households thru the internet which, hopefully, will help out.

So, on a positive note, my post today is of Scraps who is still visiting us. She has been neutered, note the "V" shaped cut in her left ear so no kittens this year. The charity we support in Pollenca, has done an amazing job here, well done.

So, I'll try to get back into Blipping but it's going to be all very similar images via my smartphone as my Canon is in the UK.

Stay healthy everyone.
