A blustery, gale force, cold thoroughly unpleasant to be out in. Hail squalls at times too. Made running a challenge and exhilarating in equal measure and a great feeling when I got back home. Fewer people out today than I expected, no more than 7 or 8 in total.

While I was out running, Susan went for a walk and reported similar lack of people. Perhaps the weather helped persuade people that the sofa was indeed the place to be.

It was well into the afternoon before we had lunch meaning the short time before Susan went up to her mum’s was taken up by making out a shopping list, paying bills and ordering some seeds I’d forgotten in my main seed order.

I had time to sort through a couple of boxes of railway slides given to me by a participant on one of our Railway Experience Days last July. I’ve put them in numerical order too. They’re going to the Kent and East Sussex Railway so they can see if there are any useful for our museum. The rest can be sold to raise some much needed cash for the railway. I was hoping to blip one or two but they are not scanning very well. Needs better kit than I have.

Slide 504 is of a Terrier in Brighton Works. I’ve no idea when the slide was taken, there’s no date information on the slides.
