Alan Turing
Day 11.
Very chilly today so went for a quick bike ride on the road, too busy in the park and on the towpath. Alan Turing’s unofficial plaque in Hampton. A very large house (see extra) so presume he might have been a lodger while he worked nearby at the NPL, National Physical Laboratory in Teddington, from 1945-1947. After this he returned to Cambridge.
There is now a secondary school in Teddington called Turing House school which was set up in 2015. His official plaque is in Maida Vale ,London W9, on the house where he was born.
Tasks
- bike ride round the roads
