Splice the mainbrace, once too often?

The above order used to refer to alcoholic drinks being issued to the crew, although it's presumably not the reason this vessel ended up aground.
This may have been a schooner built in Portmadoc in 1900, but there are a number of wrecks in the area, mostly dating from the 1870's to 1900, so I can't be sure.
