More Snow

This was my garden at 545 on Friday night.
It snowed all day getting so heavy in the afternoon. Then I got a text from my daughter saying that the hill leading to my street was a nightmare with skidding cars abandoned so I did a risk assessment (in true SSE style!!) and left car at work. I got a lift home in a big 4x4 but disaster when I got to my house I realised my house key was still in my car......

So, walk to daughter house for spare key, and on the way back had a chat with three teenagers who had set themselves up at another hill off the main Glasgow road helping push cars that were skidding on the snow! Daryl, (his name on the back of his high viz jacket) said his dad was a safety officer, and they decided they were needed to help the motorists! Dad wasn't there... When I spoke to him they had helped 17 cars, helped to avoid three prangs and he also was stopping cars on the main road so cars coming down the other hill could get out without stopping. Wow, well done them - I think they deserve a mention in the local paper for their bravery!!!

So I eventually got to the restaurant where I was meeting my work colleagues which was in Perth city centre, and guess what, there must have been about a millimetre laying there. Nice and relaxing evening after all the trudging through the snow.

Sledging later on today, can't wait!!!! And the SUN is out.
