Desperate

Decided to use this enforced home time to do some much neglected DIY, ie stripping that stripe of paint either side of the staircase so i can sand and varnish the stairs to go with my new bannister (also delayed due to C19 - I had just clawed my way to the top of my joiner's 4 month waiting list as well - hey ho) .
Safety gear on, put cats in the garden and opened all the windows an crack to get ventilation in.  Murphy quite happy to go out because he has been lying about all morning and its about time for a stroll.  As soon as I shut the door behind him, he's suddenly desperate to get back in - running round all the windows of the house and banging on the glass.  This was the point when he decided he could probably squeeze his fairly corpulent body through the 1 inch opening if only he could get high enough....  (SPOILER  he couldn't )
