The Park Avenue North Historic Reenactment Society puts on Julius Caesar - the Highlights.
Humphrey Gasket (Drama Critic for the Northampton Bugle) writes:
“This is an interesting take on Shakespeare’s classic oeuvre. As can be seen from the picture, the traditional toga costumes have been eschewed in favour of a mix-and-match approach. Brutus is dressed as an IRA terrorist but, strangely, still wields the Roman short sword rather than the Armalite rifle. Caesar, however, favours the Regency fop look. The plot is compressed into two minutes of bloody action and ends with the surviving actors doing a conga into the kitchen area for drinks and snacks.”
