How to improve Vodafone mobile signal

This was the view from The Bolton Hotel in Wellington this morning, the things some people will do to improve the reception on a Vodafone mobile.....seriously people just get an XT.

Going back to our trip, as we drove onto the ferry last night a black cat ran right in front of us, when we arrived at the hotel we got upgraded to a really nice suite in the hotel.

Its been a long day, we left Wellington 9 this morning for the drive to Auckland, the next time someone from the North Island tells me they dont like the South Island because there isnt much in it i may hit them..... 500 kms of nothing......boring scenery and cornfields. There was also the moment when the GPS thought it was a good idea to divert through some farms to avoid Wanganui which had the last fuel station for 112 kms just before we went onto reserve.....We coasted into a fuel station on fumes in a little town which we were glad to see.
