SUNDAY MORNING SPRING WALK
Early morning
Walking fast
Buds bursting
Birds singing
Sun shining
Flowers blooming
Fences broken
Wind whistling
Cold fingers
Runny noses
Eyes blinking
Spring has come
in England
It was good to be out walking after three days indoors - but it was very cold just after 6.30 this morning as you can see by our faces - the wind chill made it feel much colder and at first, it wasn’t very pleasant but we soon got used to it.
The horse chestnut buds, or sticky buds as we always called them, are bursting out as you can see and as a nod to Derelict Sunday, I took a photograph of a broken fence with lots of daffodils still blooming. We saw very few cars and only saw one other person, a runner, who passed by on the other side, as you can see, but we all said “Good Morning” as if it were a normal Sunday morning. The bonus, of course, was the beautiful sunrise and sky.
Yes, things are different this year but nothing can stop Spring coming.
Have a good day folks; many of you in the UK will be logging on later to watch Church services; perhaps in other parts of the world you have already done so - be blessed as you watch, or whatever you do today and stay well and safe.
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”
Numbers 6 : 24-26 NKJV
