The bee

each day
as i sit outside in my chair
i sit and i stare
for there in the air
where i stare
there be a Bee
just Beein' away
there it be's
there between the limbs of two trees

no flowers there be
no fragrance fair
but there it be
that Bee
there in the air
for me to see
just that Bee
and me
we be there
me in my chair
and that Bee
there in the air

it ducks & it dips
up & down
and all around
with just the faint sound
of it's wings clips
a slight buzz
just because
it needs to stay there
in the air
between the limbs of two trees
yup, that's where that Bee be's

then with a start,
at once depart.
he'll dart
and dash away
as if to play
with the air
as it buzzes there
and i sit & i stare
and wonder where
did that Bee go?
i never know
yes, it'll dart & dash
but in a flash
without a crash
there that Bee be
there for me to see

it's never known
for i'm never shown
just where that Bee be's
when i can't see's
it there
in the air
where i sit & i stare
there 'tween the limbs of two trees

at the end of the day
and it stops it's play
that Bee goes away
but where does it stay
there at night
when there is no light
and it's outta' sight
where does that Bee be?
that i can not see.

is it still there
there in the air?
so i'll sit & stare
as if i care
just where
that Bee be's
i look into the night
to try and sight
that Bee there, in flight
there between two trees
