Silly Saturday...Wildlife?

Like many folk we've decided that the current lockdown provides a good opportunity to do lots of work in the garden (and by golly it needs it!). However we were silly enough not to realise that the local garden centre might close, which it did in the middle of the week: we should have gone to buy our new plants last weekend!

However when out for our walk yesterday we noticed that a local DIY centre was still open - and that it had some healthy-looking plants outside. It's only a mile away so we sneaked out in the car to buy some (carrying them home on foot wasn't really feasible). The store was so quiet there was no problem keeping at the required distance from the few other shoppers there.

Whilst there we spotted these artificial "butterflies" and thought that although they're rather pretty they do look a bit silly too, so maybe they can qualify for Silly Saturday. And I guess it's silly to say that they're "wildlife"!

Finally, I was silly to go out without my proper camera. I wanted a shot with a narrow depth of field but I can't do that with just my phone (it's just a cheap one). The effect had to be mimicked in Photoshop so don't look too closely!

Thanks as always to admirer for hosting Silly Saturday.
