Lockdown Day 2 - The Potting Day
Today we woke up and had our coffee then I got stuck into a bit of cleaning. It's always satisfying when things are ship shape.
After the rain yesterday and a little last night, the sun decided to break through, like a plant or a cat rather, I too look for the sun. So today I decided to spend most of it out in the garden.
I gathered up all the failed pottings from previous months and put the soil together with some compost.
Found some seeds and prepared them for planting.
J chopped up a butternut squash to store in the freezer and gathered the seeds together so we could plant those too.
While planting we had a little visit from a pretty little thing known as the Common Black-Eye Butterfly.
The small things really do matter in life, especially in strange times like these, this little butterfly had our attention and taught us not only it's name but to stop for a while and observe.
