Snow on Burns Day

Hi everyone!

First of all, I want to wish you all a happy Burns day - no matter where in the world you're from! We will be having haggis tomorrow instead of today, since Nana already had dinner prepared. I've heard that in America, they're not allowed the proper ingredients, because it's 'inedible' or something. Don't get me wrong, the ingredients aren't the nicest, but if you don't think about it, haggis is really nice!

So, we had more snow expected, but it didn't materials into much. There was a light dusting on the street, that's it. The snow hasn't really started to melt yet - it's all been shovelled into massive piles, so it'll probably take weeks to fully melt!

We were talking about the Holocaust in school today, as it is Holocaust Memorial Day on the 27th. We listened to one of the survivors accounts, and it was really sad. I felt a little upset by the end of it (My stupid over-active imagination), which I think the teacher noticed. I didn't cry or anything, it was just running through my head - "what if this happened to me", and I must've been giving off some signals. I really hope nothing like the Holocaust ever happens again, especially on such a big scale.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Steven :)
