Meet Saurie, A Brave Girl......

While riding my bike tonight I came over a hill and met Saurie.  She was out walking with her family.   Two discs in her spine have deteriorated and she is no longer able to make her legs work, neither does she have any pain.  
      When she started dragging herself all around her parents took her to  contact that made this rolling cart, just for her.  She connects to the  arms through a soft and comfortable harness.  Her back legs are over a padded shelf, with a strap that goes over her back.  The arms connect to the wheels and a low platform that her feet lie comfortably on.   Then....  she takes her parents for a walk down the road.  
      Everyday, she gets out twice for exercise and socialization.  I have seen her as far away as a mile over where I live!   She pulls over and pulls her way back!!!   Her mom and dad said she won't quit.  For a 14 year old dog, she is down right amazing!!!!
Oh yes, I forgot to mention, she is blind in both eyes.  When you look at her picture you can see white areas where she has lost her sight.  But it doesn't stop her one darn bit.  Her hearing is still sharp and her nose is always twitching!!!!!!!
