Prawns

The local creel boats cannot sell their catch to Europe at the moment. We thought we would do our bit in supporting them so bought 4kg prawns straight from the boats. They were delivered tonight and I tipped them onto the kitchen table to split them into portions.

Well KK thought this was great because the prawns immediately jumped off the table and started escaping over the kitchen floor. By this time KK was standing on a chair to avoid his toes being nipped. I knew the prawns would be fresh but didn't expected them alive and lively.

They are now safely stashed in the freezer with the door closed apart from a portion left out for tomorrows dinner.
