Intimations of Spring

Not only was today likely to be the last of the fine spell of weather, but restrictions on travel have been tightened so I was determined to have a walk. I set off  from home and had some nice sightings - a pair of Buzzards, Skylarks, and a Curlew very close to home, a brief sighting of a Brown Hare and this Small Tortoiseshell - my second butterfly blip of the year. We're so lucky to be out in the countryside straight from our front door. That's worth its weight in gold in these difficult times.
