The Hens keep Laying

Did anyone else hear Farming Today this morning. I heard a farmer explaining that his hens keep laying , he has meat that needs eating and he would be at Kendal Market this morning,  which surprised me no end.  I woke Mr P to tell him and went back to sleep. 
Roll forward 5 hours.  I had not planned to go into Kendal at all but Mr P needed to visit the main post office in Kendal. Our local post office has closed because the postmaster got fed up with ignorant people not obeying the rules, so I offered to lurk in the car outside the main post office in Kendal while he went in. 
Mr P remembered the 5:30 am conversation about the farmer  and wanted to go to the stall because he always buys pies there.  I ventured along  cautiously with my camera  to observe what was going on and heard the farmer offering Mr P 6 free eggs with his meat purchases.  "Your hens keep laying"  I shouted, I heard you on Farming Today. The farmer laughed, "You heard me!",  have a dozen free eggs.   He told us he would not be here next week and urged us to take his home delivery details.   All very fortuitous. Mr P can get his pies regularly.  

Went home and made a very egg rich cake.  Thanks Farming Today
