the day of the den

The school has lovely teachers who suggested that today’s task should be to build a den and spend time playing and reading together. So we set the garden up after our Joe Wicks’ PE session (which I really hope is doing us good as it HURTS)!

Gratefuls:

1. I usually complain about the littleness of our garden but I’m realising what a blessing it is this week;
2. Medics speaking up about all that is happening in the world and working tirelessly to fight for life;
3. My lovely boss and his partner who sent us a care package from Betty’s - fat rascals (scones with fruit and nut) and the best fondant fancies you could ever taste;
4. Managing to have time to do one thing well - this week in lockdown has been challenging and I’ve felt like half an employee and half a parent, about one third of a wife and maybe three fifths of a nutter. This afternoon I got to just sit with a child on my knee and provide much needed cuddles.
