A clutch of nine!

I was eggcited to see this eggstroadinarily large clutch of nine eggs when I went for my walk around the village today. Mr. and Mrs. Swan had been for a paddle around the moat and I got a sight of the nest before she sat down again.

With the restrictions on travel and gatherings hopefully the nest will be unmolested by human interference this year. If they all hatch they'll be busy parents!

I've been planting seeds this afternoon. I wish that I'd foreseen this situation as I'd have bought more. Luckily there were some from last year so hopefully there'll be some veg and flowers from them.
